Solid Waste Management (SWM) Complaints’ Submission Platform

The Regulatory Authority for Waste, Energy and Water (RAAEY), through its Waste Branch, has developed this digital platform with the aim of serving citizens, organizations and businesses on issues related to Solid Waste Management (SWM).

This initiative provides the opportunity to users to report complaints on bad practices, or operational issues within the waste management system, which will then be forwarded for resolution to the competent authorities, through MyRAAEY platform.

RAAEY monitors the whole process, on how the competent final recipients are examining and responding to the submitted reports, ensuring the quality of service to citizens.

Reporting of complaints on four targeted issues

MyRAAEY supports RAAEY’s systematic recording, documentation and evaluation of targeted and sensitive issues, that the Authority intends to highlight, such as:

  • Collection of mixed and recyclable waste in the same refuse collection vehicle
  • Uncontrolled Disposal – Illegal Dumping of Waste
  • Illegal incineration of waste
  • Problems and delays at Solid Waste Management (SWM) facilities

This initiative is part of RAAEY’s strategy to strengthen transparency, accountability and the protection of citizens’ rights, reinforcing the supervisory role of the Authority.
